Armed Forces Scholarship
$500 Award for Military Service
The Phoenixville Area School District Armed Forces Scholarship is an annual scholarship, financed and awarded on behalf of the Phoenixville Republican Committee.
This scholarship memorializes those in our community who have served this nation and will be given to a graduating senior who is pursuing a career in the military. Students who have the honor, courage and willingness to serve our nation and join the ranks of our military (necessary to deter war and protect the security of our country) should be thanked and rewarded.
Qualifications:
Any student who has passed the ASVAB and intends to the join the Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, United States Marine Corps or who have been excepted to Academies such as West Point, Air Force, Coast Guard, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
Requirements:
⦁ Applicants must provide a recruiter as a reference or produce an acceptance letter.
⦁ Applicants must write a 1-2 page essay on what Patriotism means to you.
If an in-person interview becomes necessary to select a winner, please be prepared to respond to the following topics:

What are your short term and long-term goals?
What sets you apart from the other applicants?
